Orie E. Emerick
Orie E. Emerick, 72, of Perryopolis, Pa., died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002 in South Greensburg. He was born April 7, 1930, in Fayette City, Pa., a son of the late Albert and Luetta Biles Emerick.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles, DuWayne, Theodore, Albert and Sheridan.
Orie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Eleanor Milan Emerick; his son, Gregory Lee Emerick and his wife Beth Ann of Johnstown; a daughter, Yvonne of Perryopolis; grandchildren, April Ann and Brian Joseph Emerick, both at home; brothers, Robert of Smithton, John and his wife Darlene of Belle Vernon, Gerald and his wife Joyce of Akron, Ohio; and a sister Alberta Palmer of Monessen.
The family will receive friends in the CONFER FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front St., Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. Funeral Services will then be conducted by the Rev. Paul E. Wilson Sr., of Brownsville United Methodist Church. Entombment will follow in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill. Military rites will be accorded by Hopwood AMVETS Post No. 103.
