He is survived by his wife, Janice Brothers Basinger; one son, Greg Basinger of Connellsville; two daughters, Kelly Knox and Sherry Gemas, both of Connellsville; six grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Basinger of Connellsville and Robert Basinger of South Connellsville; one sister, Mrs. Marvin (Janet) Shroyer of Scottdale.
Friends will be received at Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Robert E. Freeman, of Langhorne, Pa., formerly of Connellsville and Orlando, Fla., died Friday, September 20, 2002, at his residence.
His wife, Dorothy T. Frazier Freeman; three daughters, Holly Freeman of Newburyport, Mass., Mary Ann O’Neill of Washington, D.C. and Carol Giacco of Philadelphia; three grandchildren and one sister, Cleo Henry of Connellsville, survive him.
A memorial service will be held today at 1 p.m., at Lamb Funeral Home, Forest Hills, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley.
