Raymond J. Skufca, 74, of Wickhaven, Pa., died Monday, September 23, 2002, at 1:30 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born December 17, 1927 at Wickhaven, Pa., son of the late Frank and Gertrude Pushnick Skufca.

Ray was a member and an elder of the Harmony Presbyterian Church of Wickhaven. He was secretary of S.N.P.J. Lodge 165 of Wickhaven, a member of the Thursday night Button Box Group of Herminie, a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army and a member of V.F.W. Goldstar Post 7023 of Perryopolis.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy M. Strother Skufca; four daughters, Nancy Petrosky of Perryopolis, Pa., Mrs. Frank (Denise) Flower of Smithton, Pa., Mrs. Michael (Marcia) Kelly of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Donald (Donna) Pidanich of Wickhaven, Pa.; six grandchildren, Nicholas Flower, Michael Petrosky, Emily Flower, Claire, Alison and Hope Kelly; two sisters Mrs. Elizabeth D’Onofrio of McKeesport, Pa., Mrs. Joe (Sylvia) Yowonski of Belle Vernon, Pa. and a brother Edward Skufca of Wickhaven, Pa.

Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 106 E. Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday until 10 a.m., the hour of service, with Pastor William E. Lawson officiating.

Interment will be in West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, Pa.

Graveside military rites will be accorded by VFW Goldstar Post 7023 and American Legion 752 of Perryopolis.
