Eleanor M. Kurka Kapella, 83, of Connellsville, Pa., died Friday, September 27, 2002, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, Pa. She was born March 7, 1919, in Connellsville, Pa., daughter of Stanley Kurka and Teofilia Krzeminiewski Kurka.

Eleanor was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Homemaker for many years.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville, Holy Trinity Altar Rosary Society, and St. Rita’s Council No. 64.

Her husband, Stanley F. Kapella, died June 22, 1998. Also deceased are two sisters, Helen Skowronek and Stella Dove, five brothers, Edward, Walter, Anthony, Chester and Raymond Kurka, and her parents.

She is survived by six children: Kathy and husband, Gary Wolf, of Manheim, Pa., Connie and husband, Jerry Greco, of Hopewell Township, Pa., Barbara and husband, Jim Bielecki, of Connellsville, Pa., Deborah and husband, Paul Schotting, of New Stanton, Pa., Stanley M. Kapella and Thomas Kapella both of Connellsville; seven grandchildren: Maggie McGarrity, Corinne McGarrity, Karen Greco, Chrissy Greco, Jamie Bielecki, Matt Bielecki, and Paul Schotting III; also many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., today from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held Monday, September 30, at 10:30 a.m.

A Funeral Mass follows at 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, North Seventh Street, with Rev. Fr. John Butler as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery, Connellsville.

St. Rita’s Council No. 64 will conduct a Ritual Service in the Funeral Home today at 3 p.m.

Parish Wake Service will be held today at 4 p.m.

Visitation was also held Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m.
