Kozak-Bartos
Melanie Bartos of Uniontown and Jared Kozak of West Leisenring were united in marriage on Aug. 17 in a ceremony celebrated by the Rev. James Popochock and Rev. Peter Peretti at St. Procopius Church in New Salem. Parents of the bride are Michael and Ruth Bartos of Uniontown. Parents of the bridegroom are Joseph and Andrea Kozak of Leisenring.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a two-piece organza gown with embroidery beaded with rocailles, sequins, bugle beads and seed pearls. The back featured a corselet tie. The A-line skirt had embroidered flowers flowing from the front onto a chapel length train. A beaded pearl crown held an elbow-length veil of illusion.
Matron of honor was Rita Rosso, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Megan Pletcher, cousin of the bride; Jennifer Bartos, sister-in-law of the bride; Jennifer Salonick, cousin of the bride; and Angela Jilk. Junior bridesmaid was Emilee Kozak, niece of the bridegroom. Mary Beth Hllavach, cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl.
Best man was J.R. Smith. Groomsmen were John Kozak, brother of the bridegroom; Michael Bartos, brother of the bride; Aaron Klippi and Dave Cahow. Junior groomsman was Chris Dutkewycz, cousin of the bride. Robbie Oravets, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception was held at Hopwood Firemen’s Social Hall.
The bride is a graduate of Uniontown High School and West Virginia University with a bachelor of science degree in interior design. She is employed with Pier One Imports.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and Penn State University with an associate of science degree in business administration. He served with the U.S. Army and is employed with Footlocker.
The couple honeymooned in Aruba and are residing in Davenport, Fla.
