Fatal crash
According to state police, Ronald Smitley, 46, of Spraggs was killed Saturday when the 1996 Ford Ranger he was operating crashed along Route 2018 at 5:52 p.m., while negotiating a curve. The pickup struck an embankment and rolled several times before coming to rest on the north side of the roadway facing east, police said. An assistant Greene County coroner pronounced Smitley dead at the scene.

Man charged
According to state police, Michael Hanes, 19, of Waynesburg was charged with underage drinking and disorderly conduct before District Justice Neil Canan for an incident that occurred at Greene County Memorial Hospital Thursday at 12:10 a.m.

Women cited
State police said Debbie Adamson, 45, of Mather and Tara Hall, 20, of Clarksville were cited for trespassing at the 327 Hunting Hills Road home of Dilliner resident Cheryl Phillips, 43, Thursday at 5:45 p.m.

Garage damaged
Jeanne Russell of Mount Morris told state police that someone put a hole in the roof of a garage owned by her along Route 19 sometime between 6 p.m. Sept. 22 and noon Thursday.

Cars collide
According to state police, vehicles operated by Amber Bane, 22, of Waynesburg and Randy Johns, 19, of Ford City crashed along Route 21 in front of the Greene County Airport Thursday at 11:03 a.m. A passenger in Bane’s vehicle, Andrea Bane, 4, was transported to Greene County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, police said.

Cow struck
State police said a vehicle operated by Katrina Palone, 25, of Mount Morris crashed into a cow along Route 2011, five miles north of Creek Road Thursday at 11:37 a.m.

ATV stolen
David Danko, 40, of Lemont Furnace told state police that someone stole a 1988, Yamaha all-terrain vehicle from his West Penn Street residence between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Generator stolen
According to state police, someone stole a Titan generator, yellow and black in color, from Floyd Armel of Fairbank at the Antique Run Campground between 5 p.m. Sept. 21 and 7:30 p.m. Friday.

ATV stolen
State police said someone stole a 1987 Kawasaki, green and blue all-terrain vehicle from a juvenile along West Church Street Saturday between midnight and 1:15 p.m.

Man cited
According to state police Brian Holebrooks, 20, of Duck River, Tenn., was cited for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and underage drinking by District Justice Neil Canan after allegedly knocking on doors and ringing doorbells along Howie Street Friday at 12:30 p.m.

Fatal accident
According to state police, Jesse Levis of Greensburg was killed Saturday when the vehicle he was operating crashed along Route 217 after it failed to make a right hand turn. The 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix traveled through several yards and down an embankment into a creek, police said.

Man charged
State police said Richard Stewart, 35, of Morgantown, W.Va., was charged for driving while under the influence of alcohol before District Justice Lee Watson for an incident that occurred along Route 21 at Miller Lane Sept. 23 at 4:10 p.m.

Charges filed
State police said Susan Smith, 32, of Carmichaels was charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and harassment before District Justice Neil Canan after Smith allegedly scratched Marco Damaske, 39, of Jefferson and struck Debbie Cook, 42, also of Jefferson, at Damaske’s Bar Saturday at 11:41 p.m.

Driver suspect
According to state police, charges are pending against a Smithfield man who is suspected of having been under the influence of alcohol when his car collided with a vehicle operated by Kelly Elian at the intersection of York Run Road and Shady Side Road Sunday at 1:35 a.m.

Disturbance probed
State police said a citation is pending an 18-year-old Waynesburg man for allegedly causing a public disturbance at the Marathon gas station in Morrisville Friday at 1:33 p.m.

Chain saws stolen
According to state police, someone stole two Stihl chain saws and other hand tools from the Perry Township building along Little Shannon Road between 3 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. Friday.

Man charged
State police said charges were filed against Michael Phillips, 25, of Waynesburg for punching and kicking his wife, 25-year-old Melissa Phillips, and allegedly scratching her with a knife at their Kirby Road residence Friday at 10 p.m.

Katrina Berry, 22, of Waynesburg told state police that someone known to her pointed a gun at her along Plant Road Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
