Thelma Zierer Clark

Thelma Zierer Clark, 91, a lifelong resident of Point Marion, Pa., died Friday, September 27, 2002, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. Born in Nilan, Fayette County, Pa., September 23, 1911, she was a daughter of Albert and Emma Dietrich Zierer.

She was a member of Point Marion United Methodist Church and United Methodist

Women and formerly attended Golden Pointer Senior Citizens Club.

Thelma was a retired cafeteria worker at Point Marion School in the Albert Gallatin School District.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence H. Clark in 1991, a brother, Austin Zierer, two sisters, Olive Uphold and Lurene Lytle, and parents.

Surviving are two sons and their wives: Jeffrey W. and Kathy Clark of Waldorf, Maryland, and Jerry D. and Marice Clark of Masontown, Pa.; and four grandchildren: Tracy Hyatt, Carol Clark, Garret Clark and Jenna Clark.

Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. James D. Lewis officiating.

Private interment follows in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Friends of the Old Cemetery, P.O. Box 214, Point Marion, PA 15474.
