James D. “J. D.” Mathias, 67, a resident since 1974 of Tucson, Arizona, employed by Pima County Heavy Equipment Shop for 23 years as a Mechanic and retired as Foreman in 1998, and was born in Chalk Hill, Fayette County, Pa., died Wednesday, April 2, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Logston Mathias; children: Jeremy Mathias of Tucson, Arizona, Holly Mathias Lear, Kim Mathias Burnsworth and Jim Mathias all of Farmington, Pa.; and six grandchildren.

Memorial Services were held Saturday, April 5, 2003 at 3 p.m. in the East Chapel of South Lawn Mortuary, 5401 South Park Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85712.
