Robert Wendell Shroyer
Robert Wendell Shroyer, age 69, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., passed away peacefully Thursday, April 3, 2003 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 9, 1943 in Clay Run, Pa., beloved son of William and Jennie Hillen Shroyer.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by three brothers, William Jr., Gerald and David Shroyer.
Robert served six years in the military, was a member of Local Carpenters Union 2274.
He was Pentecostal by faith, was an avid hunter and fisherman and was truly loved by his dog, Charlie.
Robert, affectionately known as “Bob”, will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him!
He is survived by his loving wife, Minnie, and the following children: Robert “Scott” and his wife, Amy, of Youngwood, Pa., David and his wife, Tammy, of Connellsville, Pa., Kathleen Pesuti and her husband, Tony, of Uniontown, Pa., Bill and his wife, Becky, of Connellsville, Mark of Lemont Furnace, Pa., Timothy and his fianc?e, Marnie, of Uniontown; step children: Frank Faust and his wife Darlene, Nancy LaPorte and her husband David, John Faust and his friend Ethel Stewart, Vicki Lint and her husband Mike all of Lemont Furnace; these sisters and brothers: Jessie Johnson, Ruth Christman, Esther Powell and her husband Gordon, Linda (Mardale) Powell and her friend Bob Davis, Donna Harmon and her husband Al, Betty (Marlene) Lint and her husband David, Carl and his wife Dorothy, Gilbert and his wife Joyce, Floyd and his wife Nancy, Paul “Dickie” and his wife Edith; five grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 1 to 9 p.m. and Monday, April 7, until 9 a.m.
Visitation will continue in The Church of God the Prophecy until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with Rev. Charles Pringle officiating.
Interment will follow in Cove Run Cemetery where AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood, will conduct Military Services.
