Rene Seghi Assad, age 92, of Grindstone, Pa., who was born in Shamaney, Pa., died Sunday, April 6, 2003 at home. She is survived by three daughters: Cheryl Assad Kezmarsky, Grindstone, Pa., Joy Assad and Anthony Chrobak, Scenery Hill, Pa., and Shirley Assad Clere, El Paso, Texas; granddaughters: Bettina Jo Turner and husband Arnold, Severna Park, Maryland, and Penny Kezmarsky, Grindstone, Pa.; grandson, Adam Kezmarsky, Grindstone; grandchildren: Thomas Clere, Valerie Clere, Cheryl Clere, Linda Clere and Joseph Clere; sister, Mary S. Tirpak, Vesta 6, Pa.; brother, Albert Seghi, Smithfield, Pa.; several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, April 10, until prayers at 10 a.m.
