Redstone Township man indicted

1 min read

A Redstone Township man was indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on Tuesday on charges of possession of unregistered firearms, a report from U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan’s office said. According to the report, Harry Nathaniel Neil Jr., 59, of 601 Allison Ave. allegedly possessed a hand grenade and a bomb in November 2000. The report said the explosives were composed of a cardboard container, a perchlorate explosive mixture and a pyrotechnic fuse, all of which were taped to a brick.

The report said the law provides for a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine of $250,000.

The report also said that the actual sentence would be based upon the seriousness of the offense and that an indictment is only a charge, not evidence of guilt.
