Ethel J. Lehman Roby, age 67, of Rosedale, Fayette County, Pa., passed away quietly on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 following a brief illness surrounded by the love of her family and many friends. She was born April 19, 1935 in Edenborn, Pa., daughter of Ewing Lehman and Rose Roskos Lehman.

Ethel was a very warm and giving person who befriended all she knew. Her sense of humor, laughter, and joyful spirit will remain a part of all who loved her!

She was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown and retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Ethel was politically active and served as Georges Township Auditor for 12 years and was a Democratic Committeewoman for over 20 years.

One of her favorite hobbies was painting ceramics and spending time with her ceramic friends.

She is survived by the joy of her life, her daughter and best friend, Joyceanne Roby; her former husband, James Roby; a brother, Stanley Mocniak and his wife, Veronica, of Monongahela, Pa.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a loving and special “BaBa Pearl” to Jenny Hardy, Angela Leone and Jason Leone.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, April 11, until 9 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Mill Street, Uniontown, with Rev. Fr. Patrick O’Connor as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
