Mack McKinley Stevenson
Mack McKinley Stevenson, age 89, of Leisenring, Pa., passed away Sunday, April 6, 2003 in Frick Memorial Hospital, Mount Pleasant, Pa. He was born September 27, 1913, in Carlisle, South Carolina, son of the late Samuel Stevenson and Estella Hardy Stevenson.
Mack graduated from the former Dunbar Township High School and was a member of United Baptist Church in Connellsville, Pa., where he served with the Deacon Board.
He was Past Master of Mount Pisgah Lodge No. 91 F. & A. M. and St. Cyprian Consistory No. 4 S.P.R.S. 32 Valley of Pittsburgh.
Mack retired in 1975 from Homestead Steel Works after 32 years service.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Edna Keith Stevenson; children: Mack L. Stevenson and wife, Phyllis, of South Bend, Indiana, Edwin K. Stevenson of Connellsville, Pa., Dale Stevenson and wife, Cecilia, of Phoenix, Arizona, Darwin “Doby” Stevenson and fianc?e, Gina Frye, of Leisenring, Pa., Joyce L. French and husband, Donald, of Leisenring, Pa.; sister-in-law, Dorothy Thompson, Columbus, Ohio; dedicated caregivers, Sonya and Derek French; 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa., on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Visitation continues Sunday, April 13, in United Baptist Church, North First Street, West Side, Connellsville, from 6 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held Monday, April 14, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Griffin Mason officiating assisted by Rev. Albert Winfrey.
Interment follows in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, Pa.
Ritualistic Services at the Church on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
