Vivian Irene Cole Mitchell
Vivian Irene Cole Mitchell, 72, of Leisenring, Pa., died Tuesday, April 8, 2003 in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown. She was born October 24, 1930 in Carmichaels, Pa., daughter of George R. Cole and Carrie Hensel Cole.
Vivian was a resident of Leisenring for most of her life.
She graduated from the former Dunbar Township High School with the Class of 1948.
She was also a very active member of Leisenring Presbyterian Church where she was an ordained Elder and held various church offices.
Vivian was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt to her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Merrill K. Mitchell; two daughters: Malinda Mitchell and Roberta Smith and her husband, Robert, and two granddaughters: Jennifer Smith and Katherine Smith, all of Leisenring; a sister, Catherine Brown and her husband, Harvey, and a niece, Viona Brown, all of Riverdale, Maryland.
A brother, Clarence Cole, and her parents preceded her in death.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, April 12, 2003, at 1 p.m. in Leisenring Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Rick Watson officiating.
Interment was in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Leisenring Presbyterian Church, Leisenring, PA 15455 in memory of Vivian Irene Cole Mitchell.
Funeral arrangements are under direction of the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pa.
