William R. Crago
William R. Crago, 77, of Stoney Point, Fayette County, Pa., passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2003 in St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born October 19, 1925 in New Salem, Pa., son of the now late William Ray Crago Sr. and Maude Jeffries Crago.
“Bill” was a member of Third Presbyterian Church in Uniontown, Pa., where he served as an Elder and was a member of the John Knox Bible Class.
He was a former member of New Salem Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and Deacon.
He was a 50-year member of Menallen Grange No. 1091 and 50-year member of Fayette Lodge No. 228 F. & A. M.
“Bill” was a Veteran of World War II who served with the United States Navy in the Pacific Theatre, former employee of Superior Auto in Uniontown, and retired from Back Creek Lumber Company, Connellsville, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Deal Crago; a daughter, Diane Crago Tung and her husband, Dr. Alfred Tung, of Fox Chapel, Pa.; a son, Scott Crago and his wife, Debra, of Uniontown, Pa.; four grandchildren: Damien Tung, Brandon Tung, Ashley Crago and Lisa Crago; and two sisters: Betty Blackburn of New Salem, Pa., and Charmaine Alexander and her husband, Jack, of Mercersburg, Pa.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today after 7 p.m., Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 12, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Rev. William D. Rodahaver officiating.
Interment will follow in Sandy Hill Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
Menallen Grange No. 1091 will conduct Services in the Funeral Home on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
John Knox Bible Class will conduct Services on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
