Items stolen
State police said items were stolen from a home under construction along Valley View Road between 7 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday. The victims were the homeowner Todd Rice, 37, of Uniontown and his contractor, Ronald Heaton, 38.

City police said $48 in women’s clothing was stolen from Second Time Around on Morgantown Street at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Hit-and-run probed
Someone driving brown 1983 Buick Regal bearing Pennsylvania registration ENW-2609 wrecked into a carport in an alley behind the Rest Haven Personal Care Home on Gallatin Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, city police said. The driver fled before police arrived.

Man arrested
Andrew D. Ferguson III, 39, of Hopwood was arrested for driving under the influence on March 14 when he allegedly struck a house at 310 Gallatin Ave., state police said. Nobody was injured and damages were minimal.

Compressor explodes
Responding to an anonymous report of a loud “boom,” city police said they discovered that an air compressor exploded in a yellow building on Kerr Street, outside the city limits, leaving a large hole in the side of the building Wednesday just before 5 p.m. State police were notified of the incident.

Citation filed
State police cited Acie McCoy, 31, of Brownsville for allegedly shoving Letoya Richardson, 30, of Uniontown at 8:48 a.m. Wednesday in 508 Searights Village.

Charges filed
Simple assault and harassment charges were filed against Steven McKnight, 18, of Uniontown for allegedly striking Mark Allan Boyd, 36, of New Salem on the head and face at 11:42 p.m. March 28 at 929 Third St., state police said.

Two cited
Deberah Darleen Moore and Marshall Wade Keefer, both of Connellsville, were cited for harassment after they allegedly hit each other during an argument at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday along Keefer Road, state police said.

A boy was cited for trespassing Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. when he was found at an old Pechin building on First Street, state police said.

Car window broken
City police said someone broke a window on a car owned by Rosalie Lauteri of Stockton Avenue while it was parked in front of her house between 3 and 11:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Stolen plate recovered
A Pennsylvania license plate, DWP-0555, reported stolen by city police in August 2002 was found by state police in Belle Vernon during a traffic stop in New Stanton at 3 a.m. Thursday, police said.

Car windows broken
A window on a vehicle owned by Charles Piovarchy of Easy Street was reported broken by a neighbor at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, city police said.
Also, city police said Benjamin Morris of Princeton Avenue reported Wednesday at 8:44 p.m. that someone broke his car window within the hour before he called police.
