Tax discount change reinforced
Point Marion Tax Collector David M. Callahan advises borough residents to make note of a change in the discount and penalty periods in their 2003 Fayette County and Point Marion real estate and head taxes. Due to the county problems in getting the tax bills out this year and the fact the bills were delivered to the local tax collectors at different times, the discount, face and penalty periods have been changed to the following:
– Discount period – March and April.
– Face value – May and June.
– Penalty period – July through December.
