Hedy Elizabeth Burchianti and Donald Ephram Esplen were married Oct. 5. The Rev. Maggie J. Foreman officiated the ceremony on the bride’s family farm in Smithfield. A reception followed.

The bride is the daughter of Arnold and Gloria Burchianti of Smithfield. The bridegroom’s parents are Buris and Doris Esplen of Churchill.

Maid of honor was Kristin Bower, Youngstown, Ohio, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Heather Voithofer, cousin of the bride; Debbie Schmitt, Gina Crucio. Arienna Esplen and Morgan Voithofer were flower girls.

Best man was Christopher Copetas, Washington, D.C. Groomsmen were James Esplen, brother of the bridegroom; Michael Burchianti, brother of the bride; David (Scotty) Voithofer, uncle of the bride.

The bride is a 1993 graduate of Geibel Catholic High School and Community College of Allegheny County Boyce Campus with an associate degree in physical therapy. She earned certification in massage therapy at the college’s south campus. She is a massage therapist with Massage Therapy Institute in Butler.

The bridegroom is a 1988 graduate of Woodland Hills High School and Community College of Allegheny County Boyce Campus. He is a radiologic technician at UPMC McKeesport Hospital.

The couple honeymooned at San Souci, Jamaica. They are residing in Wilkins Township.
