Carl J. Patula

Carl J. Patula, 77, a long time resident of the Borough of Mt. Pleasant, Pa., died Monday, April 14, 2003 in Select Specialty Hospital, Greensburg, Pa. He was a long time member of the former Transfiguration R.C. Church in Mt. Pleasant, a veteran of the Armed Forces serving with the United States Navy during World War II. He was a retired small press operator for General Motors, Fisher Body, Dravosburg with 35 years of service.

He was a member of the Hecla Sportsman’s Club, the firemen’s club, the Slovak Club all of Mt. Pleasant and a lifetime member of the Mt. Pleasant V.F. W. Post.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years Josephine A. Dreliszak Patula; two sons, Kenneth Christopher Patula and wife Diana (Kemerer) of Greensburg and Carl Dennis Patula and wife Kimberly (Smith) of Greensburg; five grandchildren, Shawn, Paul, Casey, Patrick and Stephen Patula; one sister Anna Labuda of Acme and one brother Frank Patula and wife Nellie of Acme.

Carl’s family will greet friends today in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Pa. from 1 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
