Dorothy F. (Frederick) Bristor Barton, age 85, of both Chautauqua and Victor, New York, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2003 in Ontario County Health Facility. She was born March 10, 1918 in Canada, daughter of Harold E. Frederick and Margaret E. Tilley Frederick.

Dorothy was a member of the Washington County Poetry Society in Washington, Pa., and the Sandwich Poets in Chautauqua, New York.

She was predeceased by her first husband, George T. Bristor, second husband, James M. Barton, step daughter, Patricia Barton, brother, Warren Frederick, and parents.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Mrs. James (Joy) Lethbridge of Farmington, New York; step daughter, Constance Barton of California state; sister, Muriel E. Palli of Florida; sister-in-law, Ada Mary Frederick of Pennsylvania; step grandson, Kenneth Lethbridge of Penfield, New York; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend Dorothy’s Memorial Service in The United Methodist Church of Victor, New York, on Wednesday, April 16, at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hurlbut Memorial Community Church, Pratt Avenue, Chautauqua, NY 14722 or The United Methodist Church of Victor, 106 Main Street, Victor, NY 14564 in memory of Dorothy Frederick Bristor Barton.
