William “Stoney” Peden, 73, of Smithton, Pa., died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Newell Peden; three sons, William Jr. “Goon”, Tom, and Bob Peden; two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Bunny) Matheny and Mrs. Brad (Debby) Peroney; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph and Michael Peden; and two sisters, Hazel Peden and Alice Smyth.

Friends will be received at L.L. Barthels Funeral Home Inc., Second Street, Smithton, today from 2 to 9 p.m.

Larna Mae Shroyer

Larna Mae Shroyer, 56, of Connellsville, Pa., died Saturday, April 12, 2003, in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.

She is survived by her father, Charles E. Nicholson of Connellsville; one son, Roy E. Zack of Smithfield; two daughters, Larna Sage of Normalville, and Mrs. Lewis S. (Martha) J. Fisch of Dunbar; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Charles D. Nicholson of Bullskin Township, and Barry Lee and Larry Nicholson, both of Connellsville.

Friends will be received at Vito C. Martucci Funeral Home, 123 S. First St., West Side, Connellsville, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until 11 a.m.

Eleanor Strickler Turner

Eleanor Strickler Turner, 86, of Connellsville, Pa., died Monday, April 14, 2003, in Carla’s Personal Care Home, Everson.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville.
