Bethany Ann Uphold of Point Marion and Richard Joseph Casagranda of Burgettstown were united in marriage Aug. 10 at Whyel Chapel, Jumonville. The Rev. Russell Shuluga heard the exchange of marriage vows.

Parents of the bride are Mark Uphold of Mather and Brenda Uphold of Point Marion. Parents of the bridegroom are John and Chris Casagranda of Burgettstown.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a silk gown with off-the-shoulder neckline and silver thread embroidered trim around the neckline, cap sleeves and waistline with flowing sweep train. An antique comb held a cathedral-length veil.

Maid of honor was Melissa Evans of Smithfield. Bridesmaids were Lisa Guzzo, Amy Atkinson, Kourtney Mollis, Tita R. Sitter, Kelly Heiland, Stephanie Flowers and Amy Colbert. Juliann Rankin, Leah Fields and Samantha Miller were flower girls.

Best man was John Michael Casagranda. Groomsmen were Mark Alexander Uphold, Mike Fuer, Larry Flowers, David Braun, Bryan Krull, Mark Hooper and Jeremy Wells. Benjamin Mallory was ring bearer.

The reception was held at the Summit Inn Resort.

The bride is a graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and Washington and Jefferson College and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a radiology resident at the University of Pittsburgh.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Burgettstown High School, Washington and Jefferson College. He is studying toward a master’s degree at Duquesne University. He is an English teacher at Bethel Park High School.

The couple honeymooned in Mexico and reside on Clark Avenue, Bethel Park.
