Smock Restaurant opens with a twist

Angelina’s Town and Country Restaurant, eight miles north of Uniontown on Route 51 in Smock, has opened with a new twist.

One of its main chefs is a former tea stand operator, Nick Bozek, who, with his brother Justin and family, are offering gourmet pizzas, sandwiches, pasta dinners, and once more, tea .

Nick, at age 5, introduced a home tea stand to the local community, wanting to please his neighbors by offering a cool refreshment.

Nick then suggested offering his customers a hot sandwich as well. He was too young at the time for his family to help support his idea. Today, his objective is fulfilled.

Both brothers have future plans to extend the hours of service at the restaurant. The previous “Town and Country Restaurant” was open 24 hours. Currently Angelina’s Town & Country Restaurant is open during the evening hours, due to continuing education and other day employment.

Justin will receive his business administration degree from California University in May.

Once Nick graduates from school, and the business can employ additional personnel, the goal is to be open 24 hours as well. The family business has additional plans, such as possibly housing a soft serve ice cream parlor.

A grand opening was held Saturday.

The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and serves lunch on Friday beginning at noon.

Delivery service is offered from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. within approximately 7 miles. Call 724-677-BEST.
