Louise A. Brulz

Louise A. Brulz, 82, of McClellandtown, Pa., died Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 7:30 a.m. at the Horvat Farm, German Township.

She was born in Edenborn, Pa., daughter of Louis Brulz and Mary Dusek Brulz.

Louise worked in New York for many years and then for Albert Gallatin Home Care until her retirement.

She was a member of Fort Mason Historical Society, Friends of the Library, St. Mary’s Rosary Society, SNPJ Lodge, and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Louise was also a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Leckrone, Pa.

Two brothers, Steven Horvat and John Horvat, and parents preceded her in death.

Surviving are two brothers: Joseph Horvat of Edenborn, Pa., and Anthony Horvat and wife, Frances, of Corry, Pa.; and three sisters: Mary and husband, Stephen Kostyal, of Spring Creek, Pa., Frances Minshew of Wallace, North Carolina, and Ann Horvat, V.S.C. of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, Corner of Church Street at 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa., on Monday, April 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 22, until 11 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Leckrone, with Rev. Fr. Donald Trexler as Celebrant.

Donations may be made to German-Masontown Library, 9 South Washington Street, Masontown, PA 15461.

A Parish Wake Service will be held on Monday at 8:45 p.m.
