Davis “David” Venneri, 93, a resident nearly all his life of Monessen, Pa., who was born in Belle Vernon, Pa., and retired in 1972 from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel’s Monessen Plant where he worked in the Rod Mill, died Friday, April 18, 2003 in Southwestern Nursing Center, West Mifflin, Pa. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Leona Sparvieri Venneri; daughters: Carole Venneri Lane of Marlton, New Jersey, and Gloria Venneri Riley and her husband, Thomas Riley, of Elizabeth Township, Pa.; granddaughters: Kellie Uber and husband, David, and Lauren Riley; great grandchildren: Lindsay and Ryan; sister-in-law, Mary Victoria and her husband, David, of Rostraver Township, Pa.; also several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc., 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 22, until the Blessing Service at 9:30 a.m.
