Warren Blaney

Warren “Sturcky” Blaney, age 82 years, of Point Marion, Pa., died Saturday, April 19, 2003 in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. He was born March 4, 1921 in Morris Crossroads, Fayette County, Pa., son of Jess Blaney and Mae Adams Blaney.

Warren was a member of Gans United Methodist Church, a Veteran of World War II, and had been employed at the McClain Sand Company, Houze Glass Company, and CMI Company.

His favorite pastime was mowing his lawn.

One sister, seven brothers, and parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Cotter Blaney; one daughter, Sharyn Robinson and her husband, Jack, and one son, Roger Blaney, all of Point Marion, Pa.; three grandchildren: Tamara Robinson Roth, Hershey, Pa., Erik Robinson, Smithfield, Pa., and Ryan Robinson, Baltimore, Maryland; three great grandchildren; one brother, Arley “Joe” Blaney, Morgantown, West Virginia; and one sister, Pauline Blaney Henry, Scottdale, Pa.

At Mr. Blaney’s request there will be no viewing or visitation.

Family and Friends will be received in GANS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH for a Memorial Service on Sunday, April 27, at 3 p.m. with his daughter, the Rev. Sharyn Robinson, officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Gans United Methodist Church Building Fund, in care of Mr. David Miller, Box 6, Gans, PA 15439.

Arrangements are under direction of the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, 15 Main Street, Point Marion, Pa.
