The Uniontown Kiwanis Club named Megan Hager, a senior at Uniontown Area High School, as student of the month for March. The daughter of Curtis and Debora Hager of Mudd Pike Road, Markleysburg, she maintains a 4.178 grade-point average and plans to attend Grove City College.

Hager was the chamber of commerce student of the month for October 2001 and received the DAR Citizenship Award for December 2002.

She was the silk captain and is a member of SADD, the Bible club and National Honor Society.

She also was a member of the church youth group, worship team, choir and the missions committee and was a Sunday school teacher and co-song leader/teacher for kids time.
