Albert W. Shirer Jr.
Albert W. Shirer Jr., 76, of Connellsville, Pa., who had owned and was general manager of the former Scottdale Ozone Company, died Thursday evening, April 24, 2003 in his residence. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years Maureen L. Hughes Shirer, whom he married on June 12, 1950; children: Albert W. Shirer III of Connellsville and Staff Sgt. Joseph F. Shirer presently serving his country in Kuwait and his wife, Heather, of Powder Springs, Georgia, and Kathleen M. Shirer Smith and husband, Michael W. Smith, of Connellsville; grandchildren: Joseph, Brooke-Lynn, Daniel and Austin Shirer, Wesley and Shawn Smith; and sisters: Elizabeth K. Shirer of Scottdale, Pa., and Sarah Maitland Schrecengost and husband, Thomas, of Bradenton, Florida.
Family will greet Friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 West Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Pa., today and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 29, until the Service at 10 a.m.
