Helen Lindsay Mesler
Helen M. Lindsay Mesler, 85, of Uniontown, Pa., died on Saturday, April 26, 2003 in Mount Macrina Manor.
She was born December 17, 1917 in Highhouse, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of the late Franklin and Myrtle (Bittner) Lindsay.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Paul Mesler on January 17, 1977, seven brothers, Roy, George, Walter, Albert, Harry, Harold and Wilbert Lindsay, and a sister, Ora Grace Horvath.
Helen worked for 35 years at the A&P Grocery Store in Uniontown.
She was a member of Highhouse Church of God for over 70 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Betty Ora Grace Mesler, Esq., of North Strabane Township, Pa.; a brother-in-law, John G. Horvath of Uniontown, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Sophie Mesler of Uniontown, Pa.; a niece, Virginia Karas of Smithfield, Pa.; and many other nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., on Monday, April 28, from 7 to 9 p.m., on Tuesday, April 29, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
On Wednesday, April 30, Services will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Chapel followed by additional services at Highhouse Church of God by Pastor Archie Smith (times will be announced).
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
