Hilda Crouse Shaffer
Hilda Mae Crouse Shaffer, age 81, of McLean, Virginia, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 in Arlington Hospital, Arlington, Virginia. She was born November 13, 1921 in Berwick, Pa., daughter of Lloyd C. Crouse and Mary Ida Slusser Crouse.
Hilda graduated from Berwick High School in 1939.
She was the wife of the late Stewart Charles Shaffer; beloved mother of Brenda Lee Pearson, Judy S. Harford, Sandra Kay Rawlins, Susan Mae Shaffer, and the late Stewart Chares Shaffer Jr.; loving friend and caregiver, Jack Goff; sister of the late Alice Crouse, Carrie Gensel, Wilson Crouse, Foster Crouse, and Verna Crouse. Also surviving are five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Friends called at MURPHY’S FALLS CHURCH FUNERAL HOME, 1102 West Broad Street, Route 7, Falls Church, Virginia, where the Family was present on Saturday, April 26, from 1 until 2 p.m. Services were held at 2 p.m.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, on Wednesday, May 7, at 2 p.m.
