Joseph W. Kegg Sr.
Joseph W. Kegg Sr., 69, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Thursday, April 24, 2003 in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born in Uniontown, Pa., on May 21, 1933, son of the late Joseph A. and Margaret Greenan Kegg.
Joseph was a member of St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.
He was a Veteran of the Korean War who served with the United States Air Force and a member of V. F. W. Post 47, American Legion Post 51, General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood, Pa., and Catholic War Veterans.
Joseph was a Fourth Degree member of The Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Kegg was a retired Block Operator with the Pennsylvania Railroad, Penn Central Railroad, and finished his career with Conrail.
A brother, Thomas Vincent Kegg, three sisters, Anna Margaret Duranko, Josephine Snyder and infant sister, Langa Kegg, and parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth M. Arcangelini Kegg; a son, Joseph W. Kegg Jr. and his wife, Connie, of Monaca, Pa.; a daughter, Kellie Kegg Egidi, and her husband, Christopher Egidi, of Rostraver Township, Pa.; three grandchildren: Christina Kegg, Kelsie Kegg and Nicholas Egidi; a brother, John Kegg, of Painesville, Ohio; and a sister, Dorothy Mandolesi of Uniontown; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, April 28, until 9 a.m. at which time a Prayer Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, Uniontown.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, where Military Rites will be accorded by V. F. W. Post 47, V. F. W. Post 8543 and American Legion Post 51.
Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
