Sharp-Christopher
Rachel Ann Christopher and Douglas Allen Sharp were united in marriage on Sept. 28 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown. The Rev. Micah Koziel officiated the nuptial Mass. The bride is the daughter of Barbara and Charles Christopher Sr. of Blaine Avenue, McClellandtown. The bridegroom is the son of Uleta Miller of Uniontown and Kenneth Sharp of Uniontown.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her parents. She wore a satin A-line gown with strapless neckline and adorned with embroidery and embellished with crystals. A crystal and pearl headpiece held a veil of illusion.
Amy Kolencik and Marjory Maher were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Wendy Sharp, sister of the bridegroom; Carmela Balsano, Beth Clingenpeel and Karen Flower. Brittany Thomas was flower girl.
Best men were James Tupta and Mark Suchevits. Ushers were Charles Christopher Jr., brother of the bride; Craig Baker, Jeffrey Price and Garrey Gardner. Cody and Tyler Christopher were ring bearers.
A reception was held at Historic Summit Inn Resort, Farmington.
The bride graduated in 1994 from Geibel High School and in 1998 from West Virginia University with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. She earned a master of science degree in civil engineering in 2000 in specialized structural engineering. She is a civil engineer with Michael Baker Jr., Inc.
The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania. He is a sales representative with Smart Office Services.
The couple is residing on Timber Trail, Imperial.
