John B. Barry

John B. Barry of Miller Farm Road, Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday, April 26, 2003 in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born in Eastwest, Pa., son of James Barry and Ella Murphy Barry.

John was a retired Teacher who taught school for 30 years at Connellsville Jr. High School, Connellsville, Pa., and was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association and also the National Education Association.

He was a Veteran of World War II who served in the United State Army Air Corps.

His parents and five brothers, Richard, Michael, Joseph, Vincent and Paul Barry, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Kennison Barry; three brothers: James Barry and his wife, Gladys, of Brownsville, Pa., William Barry of Uniontown, and Edward Barry and his wife, Isabelle, of Uniontown; several nephews and one niece.

At the request of Mr. Barry there will be no visitation.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa., on Friday, May 2, 2003 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Fayette County SPCA or Animal Friends of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Arrangements are under direction of the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa.
