ST. JOHN CHURCH, 908 W. Crawford Ave., Connellsville, will hold their annual parish festival Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. A chicken dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the social hall. Cost is $6. Ethnic foods, bake sale, bingo, ground prizes, money give aways, games and free dancing to the Trel-Tones band will be featured. THE 26TH ANNUAL GANS-CRYSTAL COMMUNITY PICNIC will be held Sunday at the Dave and Joan Miller’s residence, Gans. Picnic starts at 1 p.m. with a covered-dish dinner.
ST. NICHOLAS CHURCH, 302 Third Ave., Brownsville, will hold a flea market today, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. Proceeds benefit the annual bazaar.
POINT MARION AMERICAN LEGION SAMUEL HAGER POST 499 will meet at 8 p.m. Monday. Point Marion residents interested in donating pictures of veterans in uniform may do by dropping them off at the post or mail to the post at 109 Railroad St., Point Marion, Pa. 15474. Pictures will be displayed in the post’s Veterans Social Room.
UNIONTOWN AREA GARDEN CLUB COUNCIL will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Denney’s. Reservations must be made with Connie Strohm at 724-329-5763.
CHRYSANTHEEMUM CLUB of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Baltimore Street, Brownsville, will hold a barbecue Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. Prices are $5 for chicken; $6 for ribs; and $1 for dessert. Delivery is available by calling 724-785-7333.
SONS OF ITALY, Perryopolis, will hold a spaghetti dinner Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. Take-out orders will be available from 3 to 4 p.m. Patrons are to bring their own containers. Meals are $6 for adults and $3 for children, 6-12. Proceeds benefit the Layton Civic Center.
