Elizabeth E.”Libby” Virgile Beeson

Elizabeth E. “Libby” Virgile Beeson, 82, of Connellsville, Pa., died Thursday, July 31, 2003 in the Connellsville home of her sister, Rose Randall, who was caring for her. She was born July 24, 1921 in Wheeler, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of Domenick Virgile and Mary Grenaldo Virgile.

“Libby” was a lifelong resident of Connellsville, Pa.

She graduated from the former Dunbar Township High School with the Class of 1939.

She was also a graduate of the Maison Fredrick Beauty School in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Prior to her retirement in 1983, “Libby”, along with her late husband, William C. Beeson, was the owner and operator of the Connellsville Credit Bureau.

“Libby” also worked for several years in the office for the Anchor Hocking Corporation Cap Plant in South Connellsville.

She was a member of St. Rita Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville and also the Pleasant Valley Country Club.

“Libby” was an avid bridge player and was very active in the Bridge Club at Pleasant Valley.

On March 12, 2003 “Libby” was honored with an Appreciation Luncheon held at Pleasant Valley Country Club for all of her hard work and dedication to the Bridge Club.

She was predeceased by her husband, William C. Beeson in 1983, a daughter, Nancy Beeson Zimmerman; three brothers: Pasquale “Patsy” Virgile, Joseph F. Virgillo, and Anthony D. “Duke” Virgile, four sisters, Margaret Isola, Rita Check, Adeline Coppolo, Jane Mongell, and parents.

“Libby” is survived by three sisters: Mary Grimm and Rose Randall and her husband, Ed, all of Connellsville and LaVern Ramser and her husband, Russell “Bud”, of Alliance, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pa., today from 12 Noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held Monday, August 4, at 9:30 a.m.

A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in St. Rita Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, with

Rev. Fr. Frank Lesniowski as Celebrant.

Committal Service and entombment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum, Pennsville, Pa.

A Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home today at 8 p.m.

Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
