William E. Showman
William E. Showman, 77, of Monarch, Pa., died Friday, August 1, 2003 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born July 3, 1926 in Connellsville, Pa., son of William Showman and Gertrude Ryder Showman.
He was Protestant by faith.
He was a retired Auto Mechanic, Repairman and Inspector and a Veteran of World War II who served with the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Bufano Showman; children: Karen Showman of Dunbar, Pa., Sharon and her husband, Patrick Wallace, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., William E. Showman Jr. of Brownsville, Pa., Tami and her husband, Ken McLaughlin, of Connellsville, Pa.; sisters: Eleanor “Dot” Seaman of Harrisburg, Pa., Anna Mae Kimmell and Helen Showman both of Connellsville; a brother, Ronald Showman of Connellsville; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Linda Ohl of Dunbar.
Friends will be received at the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., today from Noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, August 4, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. James Turnbull officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
