William P. Skurski

William P. “Bill” Skurski, 84, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday, August 2, 2003 in the Uniontown Hospital. “Bill” was born October 26, 2003 in Polland, Pa., son of John Skurski and Tilley Joworski Skurski.

He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown.

“Bill” served his country proudly during World War II as a member of the United States Army and was a member of The Catholic War Veterans in Uniontown Pa.

He worked a Coal Miner in the Robena Mine in Greene County and was a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 6321.

“Bill” enjoyed gardening and tinkering around the house.

A brother, Stanley Skurski, a sister, Jennie Tobal, and his parents preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Louise A. Kaider Skurski; four sisters: Mary Kolek of Filbert, Pa., Margaret Novak of Newboro, Pa., Pauline Kanapka and husband, Theodore, of Newington, Connecticut, and Valeria Schifko and husband, Edward, of Parma, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

The Family will receive Friends in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Tuesday, August 5, in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown (time will be announced).

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.
