James Edward Standish, 70, a 27-year resident of Scottsdale, Arizona, who was formerly of Rockville, Maryland, and born in Masontown, Pa., died peacefully Sunday, July 27, 2003 in Scottsdale. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Standish; son, James; daughter, Brenda and her husband, Michael Lund; grandchildren: Michael Lund Jr., Samantha Lund, Michelle Standish; and sisters: Gertrude Standish Cave, Margaret Standish Weimer, Patricia Standish Mijatov, and Marie Standish.

Friends will be received in the John S. Maykuth Jr. Funeral Home, corner of Church at 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa., on Thursday, September 11, 2003 from 2 p.m. until the Memorial Service at 3:15 p.m.
