Ida M. Thomas
Ida Mae Sue Thomas, 70, of Uniontown, Pa., died suddenly on Monday, Aug. 4, 2003, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born May 10, 1933, in Shadyside, Georges Township, Pa., daughter of the late Alex Swaney and Mary Edith Collins Swaney.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers and one sister.
She attended Faith Assembly of God Church in Uniontown.
Surviving are three children, Ramona Lazarz of Uniontown, Douglas E. Gaster of Conneaut, Ohio, and Michael Paul Bakos and wife, Wanda Elizabeth Bakos of Smithfield, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, Deanna, John, Jeffery, Arvonda, David, Brian, Carol Ann, Kathy, Sharon, Joshua and Nicole; four great-grandchildren, Janai, Ashley, Timothy and Emily; and two brothers, Warren Swaney of Shoaf, Pa., and Orren Swaney of York Run, Pa.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday until 10 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Donald J. Immel officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
