Reward offered
Fayette County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or people who stole or for the recovery of seven all-terrain vehicles, a dirt bike and six helmets from C&K Cycle Sales, Route 51, Perry Township, in May.
State police in Belle Vernon said the burglary occurred between 8 p.m. May 15 and 5:50 a.m. May 16.
The stolen E-TON-brand ATVs include a red 2002 1XL40, a red 2003 RXL40, a blue 2004 RXL40, a blue 2004 RXL40, a red 2004 RXL90, a blue 2003 RXL90 and a silver and black 2004 CXL150. A white and blue Velo Cross VR150H Hartford dirt bike made by United Motors and six off-road helmets in various colors also were stolen.

Advisory issued
State police said several families in Fayette County and the surrounding area have fallen victim to phone scams in which they are told they have won large sums of money.
The callers tell the victims that they have to send fees in order to collect their winnings. People who have sent money have not received anything in return. Police advise residents to call their local police if they are contacted about winning money.

A 1996 International flatbed tow truck was stolen from the Best For Less service station Sunday or Monday, state police said.

A Pioneer amplifier was stolen from a vehicle owned by Matt James Wright of Ohiopyle between 3 and 6 p.m. Monday on Sherman Street, state police said.

Someone broke into James A. King’s trailer at 244 Swink Hill Road on July 19 and stole a 62-inch Panasonic TV, Pioneer stereo system, Panasonic home stereo system, Sony PlayStation, 45 games, a coffee table and two end tables, state police said.

Juvenile cited
A 17-year-old Uniontown boy was cited for harassment for allegedly assaulting Allyson Marta Nehls, 18, of Uniontown while she was having a party at 415 Independence Court, Heritage Hills Estates, at 11:30 p.m. Monday, state police said.

Melissa Landman and Linda Moore, both of Smithfield, and a juvenile were cited after a disturbance in a store parking lot at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 3, state police said.

Someone broke into Cheryl Johnson’s home between Saturday and Monday and stole a Yamaha receiver, Iawa CD player, Phillips DVD player, a Cerwin Vega speaker and Hewlett Packard personal computer with a printer and monitor, state police said.

Joseph R. Devanzo, 35, of Uniontown was cited for public drunkenness at 2:28 a.m. Wednesday when he was walking along Gallatin Avenue after he was told to go home, city police said.

Theft reported
City police said Natalie Orrico reported that $295 was stolen from her purse in Big Daddy’s Tattoo shop at 107 S. Beeson Ave. at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday, and 36 tattoo flash sets also were reported stolen.
