Beatrice I. Frank
Beatrice I. Frank, 76, of Allentown, Pa., died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, in Cedarbrook, South Whitehall Township. She was a parts clerk for the Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority in Allentown, for 12 years before retiring in 1992. Previously, she was an operator for the former United Telephone Company, in Carlisle for 12 years.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Uniontown, and Asbury United Methodist Church, Allentown, where she was involved in the church youth program.
“Bee” was born Aug. 17, 1926, in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of the late Charles C. and Edna A. (Stairs) Colbert.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Earl D. Colbert; and a sister, Betty M. Marva.
Surviving are her husband, Richard D. Frank Jr., with whom she was married to for 58 years; her son, Douglas A. Frank and wife, Cyndi of Allentown; brothers, Harold W. Colbert of Uniontown and Lester J. Colbert of Allentown; a sister, Virginia Louise Harshman of Connellsville; a grandson, Matthew R. Frank of Allentown; and several nieces and nephews.
A church service celebrating her life was held Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, in Allentown, with the Rev. Wilbur E. Goist officiating. Interment followed at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Allentown.
