Michael “Mike” Pavlicko, 86, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Wednesday Aug. 6, 2003, at his home.

He was born Sept. 21, 1916, in Hopwood, Pa., son of the late Charles and Anna Urban Pavlicko. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Joseph and Charles.

Mike was a member of the U.M.W.A. No. 6321, District No. 4, American Legion Post No. 590, Hutchinson’s Sportsmen’s Club, and the Izaak Walton League. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Margaret Mattie Pavlicko of Hopwood; one niece and two nephews, Paula Joanna Pavlicko and John Michael Pavlicko, both of New Salem, and Barry Charles Pavlicko of Hopwood.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Wayne Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Church Cemetery.
