Jerome R. Betters
Jerome R. Betters, 52, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., died Monday, August 4, 2003 in his home.
He was born December 1, 1951 in Connellsville, Pa.
He served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971, was a Postal Worker for 15 years, and loved to do landscaping.
Surviving are his parents, Jerome Betters and Phyllis Pollard Betters of Lemont Furnace; three children: Samantha Talton of New Jersey, Nancy Betters and Jerome Betters both of Lemont Furnace; wife, Carol Betters of Philadelphia, Pa.; one brother, Harold Betters of Uniontown, Pa.; one sister, Jennifer Betters of Connellsville, Pa.; two grandchildren: Jazell Talton and Joshua Talton; five aunts: Vera Minor, Christina Yarborough, Barbara Hamm, Patricia Pollard and Arona Cook; two great-aunts: Hannah Harris and Rachel Pollard; four uncles: William Pollard, George Betters, Harold Betters and Edger Betters; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa., today from 5 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held Monday, August 11, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Marvin Harris officiating.
Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
