Thomas A. Leichliter
Thomas A. “Grizz” Leichliter, age 62, of Clarksville, Pa., died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, August 10, 2003 in Beverly HealthCare, Waynesburg, Pa.
He was born January 26, 1941 in Clarksville, Pa., son of Thomas N. Leichliter and Viola Marie Leichliter.
Mr. Leichliter retired from the Maintenance Department of California University of Pennsylvania in 1999 and was a member of A.F.S.C.M.E. Subchapter 8402.
He graduated in 1959 from Bethlehem Joint High School, Fredericktown, Pa.
“Grizz” enjoyed fishing, golfing, and restoring his 1954 Chevrolet truck.
On July 27, 1979 he married Virginia Kovatch Cowger Leichliter of Clarksville, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons: Mark Leichliter of Lilesville, North Carolina, and Brian Thomas Leichliter of South Connellsville, Pa.; one daughter, Jennifer Leichliter Parrill of South Connellsville, Pa; four stepchildren: Cindy Cowger Stinson of Virginia, Gene Cowger of Graniteville, South Carolina, Bill Cowger of Centerville, Pa., and Randy Cowger of Deemston Borough, Pa.; two brothers: Norman Leichliter of Fredericktown, Pa., and Ralph Leichliter of Brunswick, Ohio; four Grandchildren; numerous Step Grandchildren; several Aunts, Nieces and Nephews.
A sister, Harriett Leichliter Brendle, a step granddaughter, and his parents preceded him in death.
Friends will be received in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME LTD., 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, Pa., today from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the hour of Services with Rev. Domenick Sgro officiating.
Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa.
