Julia Ducar Volek
Julia Ducar Volek, 86, of Smock, Pa., passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2003 with her family by her side at Uniontown Hospital. She was born February 22, 1917 in Mt. Braddock, Pa., the daughter of the late John and Julia Hutnik Ducar. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Volek in January of 1977, a brother Stephen and a sister Mary.
She was a member of St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church of Smock, Pa.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Volek and wife Sharon of Uniontown, Robert Volek and wife Mary Beth of Perryopolis and her devoted daughter Julia Ann with whom she resided; three special grandsons whom she dearly idolized (all her buddies) Jarred, Stephen and Bryan Volek; a brother John Ducar and wife Sophie; sisters Theresa Ducar, Anna Mucci, Helen Curcio and husband Joseph, Margaret Wolosky and husband John, Irene Verbanic and husband Richard and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Exit Uniontown today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 9:15 a.m. Thursday when prayers will be said, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church in Smock with Fr. John A. Sedlak as Celebrant.
Interment to follow at St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Smock.
