Bonnie KayBeatty Kiger, L.P.N.
Bonnie Kay Beatty Kiger, L.P.N., 35, of Point Marion, Pa., died Saturday, August 16, 2003 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia, following a lengthy illness. Born December 1, 1967 in Morgantown, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Floyd Beatty and Doris Jean (Sherman) Beatty of Point Marion, Pa.
She was a member of Point Marion United Methodist Church and the Church Choir.
She graduated in 1985 from Albert Gallatin High School, graduated from the Morgantown Beauty Academy, and received her Licensed Practical Nurse from Laurel Business Institute in Uniontown, Pa.
Bonnie was currently working toward her Registered Nurse degree at California University of Pennsylvania.
A former employee of the Madison Nursing Center in Morgantown, West Virginia, she was currently employed at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was the Assistant Leader of the Friendship Hill Brownie Troop 3048 and aided the Point Marion Junior Girl Scouts.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Benjamin W. Kiger, whom she married February 10, 1990; three children: Cassandra Ann, Laurissa Marie, and Benjamin Waitman “B.W.” all at home; three brothers and their spouses: Johnny and Peggy Wilson of Plano, Texas, Chipper and JoAnn Beatty of Point Marion R.D., Pa., Billy and Donna Beatty of Point Marion; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 19, until 2 p.m., the hour of Service with Rev. James D. Lewis officiating.
Interment follows in Mount Union Cemetery, Morgantown.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be offered in Bonnie’s name to West Virginia University Hospitals Foundation, Stadium Drive, Morgantown, WV 26506.
