Josephine B. Lee Yarberough
Josephine B. Lee Yarberough, age 77, of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, August 15, 2003 in her home. She was born November 24, 1925 in Lemont Furnace, Pa., daughter of Lucius and Elizabeth Lee.
She was a Homemaker in and outside of her home before retiring and enjoyed walking downtown daily with her sister, Libby.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Fred W. Yarberough Sr. in 1994, two sons, Fred Jr. in 1949 and Darrel in 1997, brothers, William Lee (her twin) and Gerald Lee, and her parents.
Surviving are her children: Joyce L. Andrews of Lansing, Michigan, Larry Yarberough and wife, Libby, of Lebanon, Pa., June E. Tarpley and husband, Kenneth, of Brandywine, Maryland, and Kim Williams and husband, Richard, of Uniontown, Pa.; three brothers: Andrew Lee and wife, Ruth, of Warren, Ohio, Ronald Lee of Lansing, Michigan, and Dr. Charles Lee of Leawood, Kansas; five sisters: Elizabeth Curry and husband, Ellsworth, of Uniontown, Pa., Regina Clark of Lansing, Michigan, Arlene Clark and husband, George, of Newark, New Jersey, Faith Hoffman of East Orange, New Jersey, and Denise Vickers of San Diego, California; a sister-in-law, Clara Yarberough of Allison, Pa.; eight grandsons; three granddaughters; 13 great grandchildren; a special niece, Janis Curry Monroe of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a special grandson, Duane Yarborough of Frederick, Maryland; other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa., on Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held from Mount Rose Baptist Church, 9 Grant Street, Uniontown, on Wednesday, August 20, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ludwell D. Wiley officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
