Lovis-DeBord
Rissie Lynn DeBord of East Millsboro became the bride of Joseph Paul Lovis of Ralph in a ceremony performed May 24. The Rev. Stephen Bugay officiated at the nuptial ceremony in the Madonna of Czestochowa Church, Cardale.
The bride is the daughter of Margie Lillian DeBord of East Millsboro, and the late Charles Ralph DeBord. The bridegroom is the son of John and Barbara Lovis of Ralph.
Escorted to the altar by her cousin, Bob DeBord, the bride wore a white satin A-line gown with beaded and pearl covered bodice, appliqu?s of beads, and pearls and sequin trim on the skit flowing to a chapel-length train. A beaded tiara held a veil of illusion with satin piping.
Vicki Jordan, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Bender, Sandy Beinarauskas, Amy Guty, cousins of the bride; Candy Myers and Maureen Riddell. Flower girls were Hannah Lazuka, niece of the bridegroom, and Ashtyn Guty, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Terry Milligan. Ushers were Phil Gaffey, Kenny Milligan, Patrick Sterbutzel, Kevin Jacobson, and Bobby Lovis, cousin of the bridegroom. Ring bearers were Aaron Matzus, nephew of the groom, and Brandon Jordan, cousin of the bride.
A reception was held at the Uniontown VFW Post 47.
The bride is a 1988 graduate of Brownsville Area High School and is employed at National City Bank, New Salem.
The bridegroom is a 1984 graduate of German Township High school and is owner of Lovis Construction.
The couple honeymooned in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
They are residing in Republic.
