Assault arrest

John Stage, no age given, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment after allegedly attacking two people along Royal Road at 12:05 a.m. Sunday, state police in Belle Vernon said.

Police said he hit Jeffrey Stage on the head several times with a softball bat and struck Sherri Broadwater on the head with the bat and hit her leg with a motorcycle chain. Jeffrey Stage was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, where he received eight staples in the head. Broadwater was treated for head and wrist injuries at Brownsville General Hospital.

Wendy Mayo and Barbara Arnold threw things at each other during the altercation and both suffered injuries, police said. Mayo was flown to UPMC Presbyterian where she received two staples in her head and was treated for broken ribs. Arnold received stitches for a head injury at Uniontown Hospital.

Everyone involved in the incident lives along Royal Road and the incident occurred between 186 and 190 Royal Road.

John Stage was arraigned and committed to the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bond. Police said the incident remains under investigation.

Car stolen

A 1993 Buick Century owned by Wanette Scott of Lemont Furnace was stolen from Main Street between 8 and 10 p.m. Saturday, state police in Uniontown said.

Theft reported

A Craftsman drill, window-mounted air conditioner and television were stolen from Michele L. Minick’s 63 Lemon Wood Acres residence between Aug. 6 and 11, state police said.

Air conditioner stolen

Two unknown male suspects stole an Emerson air conditioner from Janice Mancuso’s Rear 39 Forbes Ave, residence at 10 p.m. Aug. 13, state police said.

Burglary reported

Someone broke into Patrick Michael Wallace’s Oak Street home in the Green Hill Trailer Park and stole a 20-inch Orion TV, Emerson VCR and an Emerson microwave oven Sunday before 10 a.m., state police said.

Stereo stolen

A Radio Shack car stereo was stolen from a vehicle owned by Jerome L. Thomas in the Super Kmart lot on Aug. 10 or 11, state police said.

Citation filed

A harassment citation was filed against Leno Evangelista, 35, of Uniontown for striking the side of Nathan Hill’s 134 Club York Road home at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, state police.

Man cited

Jeremie Pastorius, 26, of Dunbar was cited for disorderly conduct following a disturbance on Eberly Way at 11:55 a.m. Saturday, state police said.

South Union Twp.

Car damaged

A red 1991 Chevrolet Cavalier owned by Robert Leo Collins of Hopwood at 1500 Mall Run Road between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, state police said.

Attempted robbery

Minnie Stump told Brownsville police that three white males wearing ski masks entered 549 National Pike East and ordered her to get down on the ground or be shot. According to the report, Jason Foster attempted to fight the three men, one of who had a short-barreled chrome handgun. The three men left when police were called. The incident occurred Sunday at 2:12 p.m.

Recovered stolen vehicle

Brownsville police recovered a 2002 Ford Explorer that had been reported stolen to Redstone Township police. The vehicle was found Friday at 5:05 p.m. on Rebecca Street.

Three cited

Three people were cited following a domestic dispute at 79 South Hill Terrace early Sunday. According to Brownsville police, Erving Smith, 26, of 73 South Hill Terrace was cited for harassment, Rosaline Bell, of 79 South Hill Terrace received two citations for harassment and Shawnette Shaw, 62, of 66 Cemetery Road was cited for disorderly conduct. The incident occurred Sunday at 4:30 a.m.

Suspected drug activity

Charges are pending against two people found in a parked car on High Street around 3:30 a.m., on Aug. 13. According to Brownsville police, the man in the car was in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia and the woman in the car was in possession of suspected crack cocaine. Charges are pending the result of laboratory testing.

Drug charges

David Edward Patsko, 24, of 236 Frick St., Hiller was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after allegedly being observed with it in a car at South Hill Terrace around 2 a.m., on Friday.
