Man arrested
City police charged Christopher Greer, 18, of 28 Lemon Wood Acres with two counts of possession of a controlled substance at 5:34 p.m. Monday. Police said they saw Greer riding in a truck on Pershing Avenue and pulled it over. He was found five small bags of marijuana and one bag of crack cocaine, said police.

Burglary investigated
Someone broke into an auto detailing shop at 48 Connellsville St. by pushing in a window air conditioning unit and stole a cash box that contained approximately $260 and two checks, city police said. The incident was reported at 12:14 a.m. Sunday.

Safe stolen
City police said Michelle Walters of 151 Lincoln St. reported the theft of a safe containing $740 from her apartment. The theft occurred Thursday night or Friday morning. Police said there were no signs of forced entry and the windows were open.

Theft from car
Someone broke a window on Roland L. Hevener’s car and stole a stereo equalizer and speakers in a rear parking lot at 117 W. Main St., city police said. The car was also scratched. The incident was reported at 12:18 a.m. Tuesday.

Curfew violations
City police cited two 14 year olds who were outside of 79 Rear Lenox St. at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday. They were then released to their parents. The city’s curfew for juveniles is 11 p.m.

Stolen plate investigated
City police discovered a Maryland license plate that was reported stolen in that state on a car illegally parked more than 12 inches from the curb on Liberty Street at 5:58 p.m. Monday. The incident remains under investigation.

Citation filed
A harassment citation was filed against Deondra Efford, 20, of 66 Pershing Court for repeatedly punching a 16-year-old girl in the head and face at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday at 172 E. Main St., city police said. The girl had some swelling, but refused medical treatment.

A brick was thrown through a window of a car owned by Roberta Miller of 79 Lemon St. at her residence, city police said. The incident was reported at 9:58 p.m. Sunday.

George Knox was cited for disorderly conduct following a disturbance in a parking lot at 10 S. Gallatin Ave. at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, city police said.

A car owned by Jeff Unice of 69 Lawn Ave. was found burning on the railroad tracks along West Kerr Street just before midnight Sunday, city police said. The Uniontown Fire Department extinguished the fire.

Man cited
A harassment citation was filed against Robert A. Schrock of Mount Pleasant for striking Donna P. Johnson of Mount Pleasant in the head in a McClure Road residence on Sunday, state police in Belle Vernon said.

Vehicle struck
State police said Richard Pletcher, 51, of West Leisenring struck the side of a pickup truck parked along First Street at 10 p.m. Aug. 13 while riding a motorcycle.

Someone damaged a door on a garage at 1406 Kirk St. owned by Doris May Clark of Connellsville between Aug. 12 and 17, state police said.

Men charged
According to state police, Michael Morgan, 19, of Clarksville, Robin Layhue, 21, of Beallseville and William Ratica, 21, of Fredericktown were charged with pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance after the three men were found walking on a legislative road at approximately 5 a.m. Saturday. Morgan was cited by the NTC for underage drinking, police said.

False alarm
State police said the 84 Lumber Co. in Waynesburg was cited by the NTC for Control of Alarm Devices at 10:21 p.m. Sunday. Charges were filed at District Court 13-3-02, police said.

Debbie Patterson of Jefferson told state police someone ripped the screen in her bathroom window at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

State police said charges were filed against Scott Hoy Jr. of Waynesburg for slashing the tires on the car of Greg Carson of Waynesburg at 1 p.m. Friday.
